"I guess, we'll begin with something that has appeared in .. over the last 30.. something years that has not become apparent until the last few months.
Okay, show of hands here. How many ex-hippies are there in the audience? Some of them kinda going (laughter)... Nobody really wants to admit it, I know. Oh thanks. You're right I'm already getting dry. Well, I was one of those.
And whether we know it or not something started in the 60's that is only now becoming apparent. It took 30 something years, but it finally started to work. And I want to tell you what that is. Because this is great.
You know, I mean you know, the 60's took place, and that was something very unusual. It hadn't quite happened like that in history before. There was this love. This energy. This unity that began to take place. It was.. no matter who you came into.. no matter whose eyes you looked into it was always the same. Anyone would take you in. There was this.. really this beauty that was happening. And when I was living this, I was saying, 'Ah, this is great it's going to go over the whole world. And it's just going to be over with in about 2 more years, that's it. It's going to sweep the planet and it's going to be over with.
And right at the moment, like in 1970 or so when it was kinda at the peak, the angels said, 'No. It's going to all die. It's going to go away. Or it's going to appear to die, but it's not really going to die. Cause it's going to be like a peak, it's going to come down.. I think we even talked about this on the videos.. And then it's going to come up again, but this time very, very, very slowly and it's just going to keep right on going. And it's not going to drop.'
Well, I didn't believe it because when you're in the middle of it, it just doesn't feel like that is possible. But it did. By 1973, 1974 somewhere around there, it just sorta went brain-dead. Everything just went wrrr...and stopped. By the 80's, who could even remember what had happened there. It was gone. You know, we kinda fell back into big TV sets and money and all that other stuff. Forgot everything. And I'm working on it going, 'Wow, it really is gone, you know. Nobody's ever going to care anymore.' But the angels said, 'No, it's going to come back, you'll see.'
About 1985, was when they came forth and said, 'We want you to begin to teach this.' That was the very first year, I had my first workshop in 1985 and it was with 3 people. And.. it totally just wiped me out. I mean that I was so tired that by the end of it,.. it was 2 days long, by the end of that, I remember I laid down in this big room and I was going to take a little nap because I was so tired. And I didn't wake up until the next day. And I was just exhausted. I had to learn how to manage my energy.
And the energy began to grow, not only with me, but with people all over the world. And I'm sure if you start thinking back in your own lives, you probably remember 85, 86, 87, 88 how it began to go, to very slowly begin to come back.
About 2 years ago something happened that surprised people around the world. I mentioned this in some other talks that I've had. The movie industry does a poll about every 90 days. And they want to know what you want. Because whatever you want, that is what they're going to give you. It is.. I mean.. They don't care what you want they're going to give it to you. I mean, if you wanted to see marshmallows blow up in the sky all day long, that's what your fetish was, I mean you'd see that all over your screens.
They polled ten items to see what are the ten items that you want. And they are just constantly doing this. And the two things that you wanted most, was sex and violence. That's what you wanted, and that's what you got. And it was always hovering up around #1, 2 or 3 for a very, very long time. And then suddenly about 2 years ago, something clicked just instantly in one, over a 3 month period, and everybody just went back and said, 'Where'd that come from?'. Because nobody knew what was really going on. I don't think anybody did.
Suddenly sex and violence went down to 4 or 5, somewhere down in there. And out of the blue, with no indication whatsoever, in #1 spot, was Ancient Wisdom.
And they all went, 'What is this?' And as it stayed.. Ancient Wisdom stayed up on top the programming on television began to change over the last 2 years. You know, 'X-Files', all kinds of things like this. Of course, Ancient Wisdom wasn't interpreted by what that really meant. You know, you got a lot of history programs and things like this. (laughter). You know they didn't quite figure it out. But .. they were trying.
And they realized that something was happening. Well, it wasn't until February of this year (1997), that it really became apparent. And, in February of this year, a 10 year long study was published for the first time by Dow Jones and Company in 'The American Demographics'. Now this is a magazine that is not aimed at you... Well, maybe some of you (laughs). I don't know, if you've got a lot of money, you'd probably read that. But what it was really for is the bankers, stock-brokers, people who market things. These are the people who were concerned about what 'American Demographics' had to say. And so, money was the bottom line of why they were printing this. And why they were putting it out.
But what they discovered after studying thousands and thousands of people, and studying very carefully over a 10 year period. Was that there were 3 very distinct cultures in the United States. And that they were really different. They were really, really different.
Two of these were very old. One of them, I'm not sure how old it was. It wasn't very clear, but it's been around for a very, very long time. And the other one began about 450 years ago. And the third one began in the 60's with the American hippies. Whatever you want to call them. In that era.
And.. the first one.. was.. They gave names to them. They had to call them something. They gave.. The first one they called the Heartlanders. And these were the traditional peoples of the United States. They held the traditional religious beliefs. They wanted everything to remain the same. And we can all identify with that pretty much, because of the rapid changes that we're all going through. They're a pretty strong group. They're 56 million people strong. And they've been there, and they'll probably be there for a long time to come.
The second group, what they called them was the Moderns. The Moderns were a unique group in that their beliefs were that the most important thing was 'the self', your own self. And they didn't care about the environment. Or what happened to 'out there'. Making money was very important. And being successful. And ah.. I can't remember the long list of things that they had, but.. you know what I'm talking about. I don't even have to say it. You know exactly what it is.
They would do anything to .. make themselves more secure, etc. They would destroy an entire ecological system to put up a.. some kind of shopping center just so one man or one person made a little bit more money. They didn't care what happened. Because that was just the way it was. It was ingrained in them.
And believe it or not, it began according to their studies, about 450 years ago. Not in recent times. Now, this period of 450 years ago, I started thinking about this, this is a really interesting time. It keeps coming up. Over, and over and over again, approximately 500 years ago.
In the spring of 1995, I was asked by Hunbatz Men whose one of the elders of the Mayan tribe, to come and speak, because they were having a ceremony that they had not performed for 520 years. And which was the Return of the Light of the Sun. According to the Mayan philosophy, the Light of the Sun went away or disappeared in a certain kind of way, I'm still trying to understand exactly what they are saying, exactly from right now 522 years ago.
And that the earth was plunged into darkness. And that in the spring of 1995, this new light from the sun which is a totally different kind of light, began to strike the surface of the earth for the first time in over 500 years. And that's what all these ceremonies that they were doing down there. And from a Melchizedek point of view this was the sun going from a hydrogen to a helium sun. A different.. literally a different kind of light. A different kind of fusion was taking place on the sun that was producing literally a different kind of light.
And also recently.. last year I was in Japan. And I began to.. and which I probably will talk about later. And in Japan I became aware of the Shinto religion for the first time in my first life. I really didn't know that they existed. They're very similar to the Druids. They are a nature religion. They believe that Mother Earth is alive and that there are spirits connected to trees and rocks and bodies of water and everything. And that everything is conscious and alive. Almost identical to the way that the Druids believe.
And they also have a legend about a Spirit called Amaterasu, who is the Goddess of the Light of the Sun. And in the same way on the other side of the earth, they said that the .. Amaterasu went into the earth and that the Light of the Sun was extinguished or put out and that the earth was plunged into darkness approximately 500 years ago.
50 years later, approximately 450 years ago, a certain.. two sequences of events took place. Both of them are significant. One of them was the Illuminatti was formed. The ultimate intend or purpose of taking over the world. And at the same time was.. according to the research that was done through this article.. was this new .. the Moderns that are living in the United States, and of course, they are all over the world.. this new culture emerged then, at the same moment about 450 years ago.
The thing about the Moderns, is that .. and I'm not saying that this is true, only that it appears to be true, so you'll have to make up your own mind if it is true or not. The consciousness of the Moderns appears to be identical to a particular disease called cancer. It's almost exactly the same. If you look at cancer or a cancer cell, it only cares about itself. It doesn't care what happens to the larger body. It will do anything to survive and to .. and it will do anything to destroy anything around it as long as it can continue on. It doesn't cooperate with the larger body. Doesn't care. In other words, in earth terms, it doesn't care about the environment. And they don't either.
And the other thing about cancer cells is that they will go through reproduction at extreme rate, not caring what that would mean to the whole. Even though that would ultimately mean the destruction of the body that is the host for the cancer cell. Which is identical to what the Modern philosophy is. They will go out there and continue to expand, even if it means the entire planet dying.
So why is it that all over the world the populations have remained pretty much the same for thousands and thousands and thousands of years until suddenly .. until very, very recently the population has begun to climb and climb and climb. Until now we got a situation with the United Nations where they're concerned that our population is going to double in about the next 10 -15 years, somewhere around there. And if it does it will destroy all life on this planet pretty much. I mean, there will be some bugs left and things. But we will just about destroy the planet, if that takes place.
This is the reason why the Stricker Memorandum if you remember that about AIDS that suggests that the United Nations actually created AIDS to reduce the population by three-quarters. The reason they did that was because that they could see that if we don't stop this that we're all going to die, according to them. And so, there appears to be a very powerful parallel between that. So if it is true that if someone gets cancer, that perhaps it doesn't just be in the body but perhaps it affects consciousness, also. And the consciousness exhibits the same principles out into its surroundings.
And then the Surgeon General remember only about 10 years ago said, ..This is a quote.. approximately a quote.. 'That they became aware that approximately 50% of the United States had cancer.' Which happens to be the exact number of Moderns there are in the United States. It's 88 million..it's 50%, almost exactly. So there may be a correlation possibly. Okay, so that's the bad news.
The good news is that that number is reducing dramatically right now. And nobody really knows why. All they know is that the number is going down very, very fast. And the number of a new emerging culture is rising rapidly. That's you. You guys out there. Me. Lots of people in this world.
There's a brand new emerging culture that they have just become aware of. This culture is interesting because it has certain.. it even.. crosses all boundaries in all kinds of ways..rich to poor .. to all kinds of cultural differences. It doesn't seem to matter. But there are certain things that are the same through all the people who have.. are involved in this culture. They're very concerned about the environment and what happens to Mother Earth. They're very concerned about feminism and the balance of the power between male and female. They're concerned about family and children. They're concerned about spiritual matters a great deal. And there are many traits that are associated with them that they all have pretty much in common. Even though they may have different.. slightly different views on how the reality is or how it is constructed.
But the interesting thing.. the most interesting point of the whole thing that I read in this..is that this new emerging culture, which they give the name of Cultural Creatives. For whatever the reason, I don't know. I mean.. I guess they didn't want to say New Age. Is that the people that are in this culture, don't know actually.. that the numbers of them are huge. They don't know that. They think that they are all by themselves in every little community and that there are only a few other people that are interested in these things. And that there's nobody out there. This is what the polls found. Every time they were going through and they said, 'Well, yeah, there's nobody out there. It's just me and a few other friends. And that's it.'
Well, it's not true. And this is what is absolutely blowing the minds of the money people of the world right now. Because you have emerged silently and they didn't know it. What they have found is that it is one out of every four Americans. It's huge. (applause) It is absolutely massive. And they just can hardly believe it. That it's there.
They did a great study to find out why nobody knew you were there. And they figured that one out. It's because all of the media and all of the television and the major magazines and everything are aimed at the Moderns. And they're not aimed at you. Because they didn't know you were there. And what they are now realizing is that you are there. And your desires, all the things that you find important, etc., the kinds of ads that you would like to see, the kinds of products that you would like to have, etc.. are completely different than what the Moderns want. And they're going, 'Wow, there's this giant market out here. All this money to be made.' So you are about to see beginning very soon, it's already sort of begun, but I'm kind of riding this and watching what is going around the world and actually being pulled into this in certain kinds of ways. You're about to see over the next few months and especially in the year 1998 a massive change in the way that the mass media relates to you. I mean, big time.
And the kinds of values and the interests that you have are going to surface for the first time ever. And this is a really good thing, you guys. It really is.
So I just wanted you to know, you're not just all by yourself. It's important that you know how big and how strong you are. Right now you're 44 million adults strong. And it's growing fast. And there are certain people, like I have a friend who began with just a few dollars and believing that you were there and developing products for you and in a very short period of time has made billions of dollars. Just because he believed and knew that you were there, while other people did not. He created things like, "Seventh Generation Catalog". You know what that is, which are things which are only good for the earth and recycled, etc. He started out just a little over a year when he bought that and there was 2 million people which is a huge amount. In less than one year it jumped up to 10 million. So I mean it surging. It is surging fast. And this is really good. This is a great time to be alive. Okay, I just wanted you to know that before I went on."
